Pakistan captain Younis Khan has cited Twenty20 cricket as 'fun game' and believes if Pakistan fail to qualify for super eight it is not a disaster for the country. "Its not disaster for Pakistan if Pakistan fail to qualify for super-eight round because this Twenty20 cricket is all about fun, though its an international but its all a fun game."
Pakistan was the finalist of the first edition of World T20 two years back, but failed to contain an adequate reputation as lost two warm-up games to South Africa and India also lost his opening game and interestingly skipper was so cheerful while talking to media.
“It although an international cricket but all the time we talking that it’s a fun game. Look when England lost to Netherlands every one taking it as a fun. I think its[Pakistan lost to England] not a disaster for Pakistan, it is actually sad for Pakistan if we wont qualify for next round,” Younis said.
England thrashed Pakistan by 48 runs to keep their chances alive in ICC World Twenty20 at The Oval, London – which indeed ruined the sentiment of Pakistani fan in UK. “My all money has been worn out; I can’t explain how I managed that money for my kids. I am so disappointed with Pakistan
performance so as my kids[who were so excited to have Pakistan in England],” a father of three kids – who was regretted for Pakistan poor performance told Cricdb.
Younis disregarded Pakistani fans along with the sensation of T20 cricket said, “I seriously take it as fun cricket, with hitting fours and huge sixes - which is what people expected us to do.”
“Relax its just a fun,” Younis emphasised “Look at the England when the lost to Netherlands people are talking it as fun,” he added.
"Pakistan were very poor in the field throughout the game and missed a number of catches and Younis however vowed to make changes for tomorrow's game. He further added, "The worrying thing for us is our fielding. We missed run-outs and dropped catches, and probably gave England an extra 20 to 25 runs.”
