Nucaf Tellicherry scored close 10-run victory over Multiplex International LLC to claim the 4th UAQ Municipality Premier T-20 League organised by the Umm Al Quwain Cricket Association.
The tournament was held under the supervision of the Emirates Cricket Board and played under the auspices of the Ajman Cricket Council and Domestic Cricket Development Committee.
Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Nucaf Tellicherry managed to post a brilliant 185 for nine in 20 overs after Ali Asad went on a rampage.
Facing just 29 deliveries he smashed 72 with the support of six hits to the fence and as many over it.
Prashanth Braggs (26, 24balls, 3x4, 1x6) and Nashwan Nisar CTK (35, 31balls, 2x4, 1x6) made significant contributions as Nucaf Tellicherry had a good total to defend.
Chasing a strong target, Sayed Maqsood and Kashif provided the right platform for Multiplex International. While Maqsood scored a 17-ball 27 consisting of five boundaries and one six, Kashif hit 23-ball 48 with seven fours and two sixes.
Waseem continued from there scoring a quick 19-ball 23 but Mashood CTK bagged three crucial wickets to derail the chase.
Saqib (12 not out) tried his best but Multiplex fell short as they managed only 175 for nine in 20 overs.
